Director of Public Relations

Summary

Are you a passionate and results-oriented Public Relations leader wanting to join an agency environment and lead a team of high performing PR and social media professionals? Do you have demonstrated experience leading strategic earned media services, including social media, influencer engagement, crisis communication, and corporate communications? Candidates should have a pedigree in agency settings with progressive leadership responsibilities, including business development and pitching, business forecasting, and vision casting for their department.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience working directly with clients and managing others in an advertising or public relations agency or similar environment
  • 10+ years of experience managing growing teams and high performing individuals in agency or creative settings
  • 5+ years of social media engagement supporting strategic business objectives, experience managing influencer relationships
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations or Communications
  • Highly adept at building productive and profitable client relationships in partnership with integrated services such as Account Management, Creative, UX/Development and Paid Media
  • Notable new business wins in agency pitching scenarios and highly persuasive and dynamic presenter and communicator
  • Thrives in a detail-oriented environment, a master problem solver, and able to handle competing demands
