NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 3, 2021) – Nashville-based GS&F, a fully integrated marketing agency, today announced Gregg Boling as the new CEO of GS&F. Boling is being elevated to this position after serving in multiple leadership roles over the last 10 years.
The agency also announced the appointments to its first Board of Directors with the elevation of Jeff Lipscomb to executive chairman alongside board members Roland Gibbons and Gregg Boling.
Boling joined the GS&F team in 2011 as vice president/creative director, and most recently served as president and COO. Over the course of his career, Boling has led branding and creative initiatives for Amazon, Bridgestone, Coca-Cola, HCA, Jack Daniel’s, Juice Plus+, LP Building Solutions, Red Lobster and more. His work has been recognized on the local, regional, national, and international levels by professional organizations as well as numerous publications ranging from Communications Arts to the Wall Street Journal. In his new role, Boling will be primarily focused on GS&F strategic vision and continued growth as an independent agency.
“Our industry is evolving by the second, and my goal for the agency is to continue winning on terms that we define together,” said Boling. “It is a gift and privilege to continue serving my friends in this agency. I am humbled and honored to take on this new role while continuing and expanding upon the vision Jeff, Roland and others have worked so hard to create over the past 40+ years.”
Lipscomb, who joined GS&F in 1985 and has since served as president and CEO, has influenced some of Nashville’s biggest marketing milestones, including the launch of the Tennessee Lottery, the establishment of the Tennessee Titans NFL franchise and the Nashville Predators’ “Smashville” as key Nashville brands. He and Boling have worked together on marketing and branding initiatives for LP Building Solutions, Bridgestone, Music City Grand Prix and numerous other national brands working to establish a presence in Nashville.
“Leading the GS&F team for nearly 40 years has been the thrill of a lifetime. Being on the Nashville advertising scene since the early 80s, we have watched this city grow and change in a big, exciting way that continues to burst with opportunity,” said Lipscomb. “It has always been my intention to run this agency a different way, marching to the beat of a different drum and creating a friendship-first culture which lends itself to great, creative work for our clients. I couldn’t be prouder of where we stand today, and Gregg Boling is the ideal visionary leader for the future of this company and its evolution.”
Boling was officially named CEO of GS&F in December 2021. The company has been named a “Top Place to Work” for three consecutive years and is currently home to more than 100 employees specializing in delivering fully integrated marketing and communications.
“At GS&F, we focus on one key defining thought: Friends bring out the best in each other. For more than 10 years, Jeff and I have done exactly that. We have always pushed each other to foster an environment ideal for creative thinking, big ideas and friendship,” said Boling. “We are on the cusp of something extremely special here, and I am excited to help lead this next chapter.”
